“You don’t have to believe everything you think.”
That single line has been a lifeline for me.
Because if I had believed every thought that passed through my head, I’d still be living small, ruled by Drama, my ever-present inner critic.
Drama loves to whisper:
You don’t belong here. You can’t pull this off. Who do you think you are?
For a long time, I thought those whispers were truth. I thought they were me.
But here’s what practice has shown me: thoughts are not reality. They’re weather. They roll in, they roll out. Some are cloudy, some stormy, some bright. And just like the weather, they shift.
In the middle of it all is the observer, the quiet witness inside. The part of us that can pause, notice, and gently choose differently.
This shift changed everything for me. I realised that wealth, real wealth, isn’t about silencing Drama. It isn’t about pretending the inner critic doesn’t exist. It’s about seeing him clearly and still stepping forward anyway.
That’s the essence of Wealth Now: presence over pressure. Enoughness instead of striving. Permission to live without waiting for the critic to approve.
A Practice to Try This Week
Next time a thought grips you, maybe one that says you’re behind, not ready, or unworthy, try this simple pause:
- Notice the thought.
- Name it gently. (“Ah, there’s Drama again.”)
- Choose differently. Take one small action in alignment with who you are, not what the critic says.
This isn’t about eliminating self-doubt. It’s about walking with it, from presence.
