Stop arguing with someone who isn’t there

The argument is over. Your head isn’t. Here’s how to TAME the Drama Llama when you’re still replaying it.

You’re in the car, the kitchen, or back at your desk, running the same fight again. What they meant. What you should have said. The injustice. The guilt. What happens next. They’re not in the room. The Drama Llama didn’t get the memo.

That loop is a nervous system habit, not a character flaw. Your problem-solving brain is trying to get control so you feel safe. At 2am, or three days later, that doesn’t help.

This is TAME, used on the argument story:

Tag it — “I notice I’m having the argument story.”
Accept & Anchor — stop the war, come back into your body
Make Room — for the room you’re actually in
Engage — the next thing that helps, not another round in your head

You don’t have to switch it off. You have to stop arguing with someone who isn’t there.
